It’s not often that I feel compelled to warn readers of the volume of cheap saddles on the market currently.
EBay appears to be attracting numerous sellers from India selling saddles that are better suited to a rocking horse.
They are often poorly made, glued in places or with poor stitching. The stirrup bars might not be symmetrical. The leather is slippery and sometimes hard. The saddle may even collapse in the centre if you use it. The complete package can include buckles that do not fit and render the leathers and girth useless. People usually sell on as used once, tried on doesn’t fit.
The only budget range treeless that I recommend is the Libra saddle range from Libra Equestrian. I have reason to believe this brand has no current stockist for the saddle. They will pop up second hand though.
