Requisite Roamer (Robinsons) Treeless Saddle Pad

These are not sold anymore by Requisite but do pop up for sale secondhand.

I found one so decided to add my thoughts on this product. here Requisite Roamer

The pad itself is approx 25″ . It does have three position options to place your knee rolls. What I found interesting is generally the pads on the market do not have anywhere to put knee rolls or blocks. It’s only fairly recently that the companies have thought to even add them to the saddles.

The material is cotton on both sides with short black fleece to the underside. It offers a spinal channel and a place to pop in inserts to add more clearance. This is only accessible via the front opening.

I do not know what inserts these originally came with. It’s currently fitted with firm which I will alter as I try with the others.

Anatomically shaped with velcro to add to the d rings.

I ended up selling this pad as it was simply too long to try with either saddle.

Requisite Roamer Treeless Saddle

These were sold by Robinsons Country Leisure uk. They are not in production anymore. However these pop up second-hand and they are a good starter saddle for anyone thinking about trying one.

They have closed stirrup rings, so should be used with a safety stirrup or safety fitting on the leather.

The pad designed to be used with this saddle had the option of movable knee rolls. These could be positioned in three different places. If you come across a pad with missing blocks you can easily replace these as some treed saddles have velcro blocks on the saddle itself. It also has shock absorbing inserts.

Feel wise they are similar to riding in a Torsion. But have the look of Barefoot.
